Ever wanted to buy some land and build your dream home in the countryside but not sure where to start?
We have done what some think is impossible.
We bought some agricultural land 5 minutes from Dartmoor National Park and managed to get planning permission to build our dream home.
In January of 2024 we embarked on our straw bale house build. Due to limited funds and loving a challenge we needed to construct our new home on a very tight budget. The professionals we spoke to said it was impossible.
Although not yet complete we have learned so much along the way. Planning permission, budgeting , low cost house design etc .
We want to share our knowledge and help empower others to realise their dreams.
We are now offering workshop days where interested parties can come and look at the house, hear and see how it was constructed and learn how to build their own Eco home as well as learning how to navigate the planning system.

Come and spend the day at Dartmoor Reach Alpaca Farm. Look at the new Eco home and hear Josh explain the build process in detail and look at the build plans. Josh will also explain how he managed to get planning permission to build their beautiful home in the Devon countryside.
As a huge bonus you will get to leave with a copy of their successful planning application , the business plan which allowed them to live on the land as well as the actual house plans which were passed by the local authority.
This workshop will be your blue print to realising your dream.
Investment cost – £300 per person or £400 for two people lunch and refreshments included and free parking on site.
